MAKERS MARKET 2025

Market Dates: 11/28/25 thru 12/28/25

We are excited to invite all MAKERS to submit for our annual indoor HOLIDAY MAKERS MARKET. The MAKERS MARKET will feature local makers | artisans and provides an opportunity to the public to buy quality, locally-made goods during the holiday season.  The HOLIDAY MAKERS MARKET will coincide with THE TINY ART EXPO (2D | Wall Art).  

CRITERIA

We want creative people to create. To foster a creative economy, we strive to provide our shoppers with a diverse range of original, handmade, unique, repurposed, designed or produced locally wares.  Our shoppers will be looking for unique designs that cannot be found elsewhere. 

Items will be displayed on pedestals/platforms (with exception of ornaments). 

Examples of items we ACCEPT:

  • Ornaments:  we will have full wall dedicated to display ornaments!

  • Bath & Body (Soaps, Lip Balm, Body Scrubs, etc.)

  • Books

  • Candles

  • Cards

  • Ceramics/Pottery

  • Fiber/Textile Goods (Tufting, Punch Needle, Felting, Crochet, Knitting, Sewing, etc.)

  • Glass Art (Stained Glass, Mosaic, Glass Blowing, etc.)

  • Jewelry

  • Leather Goods

  • Metalwork

  • Paper Goods (Handmade Journals, etc.)

  • Woodworking (Wooden Toys, Bowls, Utensils, Cutting Boards, Charcuterie Boards, etc.)

Examples of items we DO NOT ACCEPT:

  • “Resale” products; including MLMs or “party”-type businesses.

  • 2D Artwork (intended to hang on wall).  Pls submit under Tiny-Art-Expo Call for Art. 

Our market is JURIED to ensure our vendors are the cream of the crop. We sure hope that’s you (or someone you know)!

KEY DATES

  • Submissions Open: 7/7/25

  • Submissions Close: 10/25/25

  • Artist Notifications Sent: 1-2 wks after submission, submissions that come in close to deadline will be notified by 11/1/25 at the latest.

  • Drop Off: Sunday, November 16, 2025, 11am-4pm

  • Pick-Up: Saturday, 1/3/26, 10am-2pm or Sunday, 1/4/26, 10am-2pm

SUBMISSION | JURYING PROCESS

  • Submissions will be juried based on a PORTFOLIO of wares submitted; a curated collection of original/artisan wares that represent your offering. 

  • Portfolio Images:  Makers/Artisans can submit up to 10 images that best represent & reflect their offering.

  • Upon review & acceptance, a gallery representative will reach out to discuss items/# of pieces we’d like to include in our market. A final inventory spreadsheet will be required to be completed by maker/artisan and submitted at drop-off.

TERMS | CONDITIONS

  • No entrance fee

  • Pedestal work ONLY (exception: ornaments)

  • All wares must be for sale.

  • Artist will set the retail price.

  • Upon acceptance, Burl Gallery will provide an inventory sheet to be completed/submitted by the artist.

  • Artists are responsible for marking/pricing their own work. Individual units must be marked with Artist Name, SKU (if no SKU, Description) and Retail Price.

  • Sales and Operational Fee Policy:  Due to the extensive curatorial and logistical investment involved in producing this exhibition, the Burl Gallery will retain 40% of the proceeds from any market wares sold as a combined curating and operational fee. All sales shall be processed through the gallery, and payment to the artist will be remitted within 30 days after the end of the month in which the sale(s) occurred.
